Abstract

1. Sultan Jaya Pratiwi is a company engaged in the processing of roundwood rip-sawing in North Sumatra Province. This study examines the key challenges faced by the company, particularly in the procurement of roundwood raw materials, production coordination, and efficient inventory management. To address these challenges, this research designs a Supply Chain Management(SCM)-based system to optimize the wood production supply chain. A comprehensive analysis of various wood suppliers is conducted, considering factors such as price and the quality of raw materials supplied to CV. Sultan Jaya Pratiwi. The developed information system aims to enhance efficiency in raw material inventory management, optimize production processes, and strengthen coordination across production stages. Furthermore, this study integrates information technology to improve monitoring and control of inventory more effectively. The findings of this research are expected to contribute significantly to wood processing industry practices by adopting a computerized and efficient SCM-based approach. Additionally, this study provides strategic recommendations for CV. Sultan Jaya Pratiwi to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and competitiveness, while also serving as a reference for the development of SCM theory and its application in the broader wood processing industry.
